We could not let the day go by without congratulating a man we don’t know, but one we’ve come to respect if not someone with whom we may not thoroughly agree at all times.
Congratulations Glenn Beck on your “Restoring Love” festival, for that’s what it was. Over 60,000 people met in the Dallas stadium, then fanned out across the city to undertake any number of projects in aid to those who really needed it.
The media, including FOX, ignored it all with minor exceptions, most of those desperately trying to find a way to spin the entire three days into some kind of hate gathering.
It is, to my mind, the most ironic thing in the world that the very same people who forty-five years ago during “The Summer of Love” were preaching love and peace are those preaching hatred and making war on men like Glenn Beck for actually putting it all into practice.
